04 / About

Kumasi, Ghana. Fourth year. Working toward machine learning research.

I am a Computer Science undergraduate at Garden City University, building toward machine learning research. My interests centre on efficient machine learning: model quantization, hardware-aware optimization, deep learning systems, and reliable AI.

Most of what I know I learned by running experiments on one laptop GPU and having to account for every gigabyte. That has made me more interested in the machine than I expected to be — in what a model costs to run, not only in what it can do.

Outside of that I work on robotics and experimental systems, which is where I first became interested in computation with physical limits: a program that has to finish in time, on the hardware in front of it, is a different kind of problem from one that merely has to be correct.
